How To Enable & Disable Automatic Tray Linking In Lexmark Printer?

It prevents trays containing custom-type paper from, being accidentally associated. Steps you can enable to tray linking:

 Open a Web browser and then enter the printer IP address in the address field.

 Note: You may identify the IP address on the operator panel (Home screen) or go to Settings and click Reports.

 Go to the Settings option. From the appeared options, click Paper Menu.

 Change the Paper Size and select Type settings for the trays you are linking.

In order to link trays, ensure that the paper size and type for the tray match that of the other tray. Example:

o Tray 1 – Size: Letter, Type: Plain

o Tray 2 – Size: Letter, Type: Plain

o Tray 4 (2000 Sheet tray) – Size: Letter, Type: Plain

 Now all trays are configured for tray linking, to unlink trays make sure the paper size or type for the tray doesn’t match that of other trays.

 Hit the Submit button.

The paper size setting is sensed automatically depending on the position of the paper guides in each tray. The paper size settings must be sent manually for all papers not containing plain paper: From the home screen:

 Go to Menu icon and select Paper Menu.

 Click Paper Size/Type and click select a tray.

 Click the Paper Size or type > Submit.

Warning: Paper loaded in the tray should match the paper type name assigned in the printer. The temperature of the fuser differs depending on the specified paper type. Printing problems may occur if settings aren’t properly configured.
